Single Family Home
in Beautiful Blanco, TX

The owner of this home is a concrete contractor who decided to build his own
home using Amvic ICFs. After a morning training session, he and his crew, with
assistance from Integrated Wall Systems, began on-site construction. The first
half-day of work yieled two courses of ICFs leveled and firmly attached to
the slab with adhesive. The window bucks are complete and are on site ready
for installation on the next day.
The second day of work included placement of the third and fourth courses of ICF. Window and door bucks were installed and bracing was nearly completed. The walls of this project have many corners, two of which are "short" corners that were able to be custom cut on site. Notice the large windows that this home will feature for a beautiful view of the Texas Hill County landscape and wildlife..
Final stacking and bracing is seen in these photos. Concrete was placed the same afternoon after alignment was checked.
With the bracing removed, this home is now ready for all traditional crafts to take over construction, beginning with framing. Electrical, plumbing and HVAC will soon follow.
Interior and roof framing is well under way.
Framing is nearly complete, including the bonus room built over the open garage. The last windows are being installed, and exterior stonework is beginning.
